LaSalle County Floodplain Ordinance

The Department enforces the LaSalle County Floodplain Ordinance in the unincorporated areas of the County. All construction occurring in the floodplain requires a permit from the LaSalle County Land Use Department. Construction and modifications occurring in the floodplain may also require additional permits from other local entities, as well as State and Federal Agencies.

LaSalle County is a cooperator with the National Flood Insurance Program Community Rating System (NFIP-CRS). The Department oversees and requires compliance of the Ordinance for all construction and development occurring in the floodplains of the County.
